CHRISTIAN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT DIVISIONS The Christian County Circuit Court is comprised of four divisions consisting of the Circuit Divisions I & II and Associate Circuit Divisions III and IV. Judges are assigned to a specific division. Assignment of cases to the divisions is set forth in Rule 6 of the local court rules for the 38th Judicial Circuit and is generally described as follows: Circuit Division I: Felony criminal cases after felony information is filed, civil cases over $25,000 and treatment courts: Drug, DWI and Veterans Court. Circuit Division II: Felony criminal cases after felony information is filed, juvenile court, adoptions, and civil cases over $25,000. Associate Circuit Division III: All domestic relations consisting of dissolutions of marriage, legal separations, motions to modify, paternity, family access motions, child protection orders and adult abuse orders; lost title; small claims; civil actions under $25,000; actions for unlawful detainer and rent and possession. Associate Circuit Division IV: Traffic; criminal misdemeanors and infractions; criminal felony cases prior to filing an information; trial de novo proceedings from small claims and municipal divisions, actions seeking hardship driving privileges; actions seeking review of driving license revocations including refusal to submit to chemical test; all probate proceedings and municipal (city cases). *Note: Court filings for Circuit Court cases are filed with the Circuit Clerk and not with the Associate Circuit Judge Divisions III and IV to which a case may be assigned.
